loose nut on 2011 silverado
Just bought a 2011 silverado 3 weeks ago. Went to mount some side steps on it
which use the 4 cab bolts to fasten to. 3 of the bolts came out ok. The fourth(rear passenger side) began spinning and will not come out. Now it rattles and will not tighten up. Evidently the nut on the inside of the frame has come loose. Went to the dealership and they said they would work with me on this.?
Just wondersing what can be done. Have heard the mechanic say something to the effect of having to remove the cab and reweld the nut back. Or cutting a whole on top of the frame to get to the loose nut. They took pics today to send to the big guys.
If cab comes off looks like there will be more problems than necessary. Thinking of asking for a new truck if the cab has to come off. Any ideas would be appreciated. I have dealt with this dealership many times and have had no problems till now. Want to put more stuff on it but afraid to do any more till this is resolved. Thanks<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

loose nut
First of all forget about getting another truck. They are going to say it was allright till you broke it installing accesories. Should this have happened,,no but it did. They make em just good enough to get out the door. If you can get at it to use a hole saw to gain access for repairs then weld the slug back in you should be allright. Remember the dealer shop don't make em they just repair em. G luck
