misfire at highway speeds
2000 chevy 1 ton 5.7 vortec
I recently had a flow master 40 series dual in dual out muffler installed. I also had the torque converter replaced. Since these, I'm getting a slight misfire at road speeds. no misfire at idle. just going down the road I hear a slight random cough, hardly noticeable to the a non enthusiast. do I have a back pressure problem with the muffler change? how do I correct it? maybe a loose wire from the stress of tilting engine to remove the trans? Thanks for feedback.

Well, I figured it out. when I tilted the engine back to allow easier access to the bell housing bolts, I must have pressed the distributor against the firewall. While it didn't hurt it, it did move it 15 degrees off zero. I adjusted the distributor so the cam shaft sensor was back to zero. Problem fixed.
