Well the SES lite continues to come on and the truck seems to run fine. Again the only code is "misfire #7 cyl". I have been told by a factory trained GM mechanic to change out the PCM as he suspects it's going bad and sending false info.Any other suggestions ? PCM is big dollars for me right now.

News update: For all those folks who helped...Double dosed with "Seafoam" and the truck has been finr for 2 wks. Started missing again for no reason, Checked ing. and plugs. both ok. It is a fuel problem and I am going to replace the spyder. I will also replace the PCM at a later time as funds allow. But I believe it's a sticking poppet valve on #7. Thanks again for all who helped.

Your luck you got a misfire with a # If it was pcm would get random misfire.
If it was dist would get random. If it was coil would get random.
A specific misfire like #7 will be a bad plug.. or wire.. injector.
