My rearend on my 2006 silverado 4x4 is binding up on me. I was talking to a buddy of mine and he figures it's a pin in the rearend which is wore out causing it to lock up when turning! Just wondering if anyone has any info on this for me before I go to far with it? And is it a big job to replace it?

 

I guess it has fluid? Need to inspect it .. Problem probably show ... metal shavings ect.

 

I agree with loosebearing... check the fluid first. My 98 c2500 did the same when I purchased it, My garage pick, that is why I got it so cheap. found out it was almost out of fluid, got it home, drained what was left and flushed rear end and refilled with fresh Limited slip synthic fluid runs smooth ............................
