my 2000 3500 pu on the way to work it was raining hard and it started missing cut it off at work then it wouldn't start. It has done this before but uasally starts after setting for about an hour but not this time. It kind of sounds like it jumped time when you try to start it. but it only has 92000 on it. put a crank sensor on and didn't help.

 

Sounds like typical bad plug wires. Wait until it is starting to get dark out, mist the plug wires with water from a spray bottle and look for sparks.

 

I don't know if your engine has the coil packs or a cap and rotor, but if its cap and rotor its very possible the cap is cracked and moisture is getting in.

 

There could also be a crack in the plastic cover near the window and hood. This happened to my GMC Suburban and I had to seal it and replace the cap
