i had put 206,00 miles on my 1993 S10 extended cab - this new silverado is such a joy to drive

for the exhaust. you can throw on a flowmaster 40 series or super 44 muffler(seem to be popular)with a tip of your choice. it shouldnt effect warranty at all. most if not all mufflers come with their own warranty. if your thinking about putting hids in your headlights they come with their own warranty as well.

The New Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover any damage or failure resulting from modification, alteration or suspected tampering, to the vehicle's original equipment as manufactured or assembled by General Motors. I would suggest you check with the dealership you are planning on having any warranty work done at to see what their policy is on vehicle modifications. I hope that helps you.

I agree that the exhaust mod will probably have minimal impact on warranty other then GM won't warranty anything up to or after the mod to the exhaust system, thou I would stay away from the cats as they are an emissions item.

As for the lights avoid doing anything that you can't undo if you needed to take it in for possible warranty issue.

I would recommend going at least 3 months before doing anything other then cosmetic mods should you have issues with the vehicle that might require it going back for a major problem (basically wait till you are out of the break in period before doing big mods)
