Default Is my 2007 Silverado a2007?

I recently purchased a 2007 Silverado extended cab used from a dealer. Bill of sale and registration say it is a 2007. The tenth digit of the VIN is 7. BUT. The truck looks like the 2006 model inside and out. As the 2007 models start building in the later part of 2006 I don't see how this can be? Any thoughts?

I may be wrong but during the body changes between 06 and 07 you could still get what I think was called the 07 "Classic"

Yup, you have a 07 classic. Chevy came out with the new trucks in 07 but stuck with the last version of the truck as well and named it the classic. So there's two different versions of the Silverado in 07. Don't worry, you got what you paid for.

Thanks for the answers. I do remember seeing something about a classic. Reading the news releases on the 2007 is confusing as they say the 5.3 has the new engine management system which shuts down cylinders to save gas. Mine doesn't. It also says Z71's now have 18" wheels. Mine are seventeen. It could get confusing when ordering replacement parts down the road.
