Angry My Silverado need help

2005 Silverado Crew Cab 4x4 with 102000 miles.
05 Silverado has a vibration and some sort or transmission surge starting at 55mph. Once you speed up to 60 or above the vibration and surge is gone. I have replaced the speed sensors and had a new trans filter installed. This did not fix the problem. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Hi chrstphrbuf1,

Welcome to the Chevy Forums.

How are those U-joints looking? Just had mine done on my 04 crewcab at 96000 miles.

Check the rear one first, they usually are the first to go.

U-joints are good. Had both front wheel bearings changed, alignment and wheel balance about 2 months ago. The front end is as tight as it can get. I am stumped on this one.

I am having a similar issue with my '05 Silverado 4X4 Z71 w/106,500 miles. I first noticed it for about a minute when it was new, and it started vibrating very hard on a road trip. I first thought I was getting a flat tire, so I pulled over to inspect and couldn't find anything wrong. After I got back ont he road, it was fine. Now after 106k miles and several years, it vibrates after I drive about 15 miles every time I get in the truck and get up to 60-70 mph. I have had the tires balanced and rotated, alignment, and brakes inspected. I took it back to Sears (where I had brakes and tires installed) and they double-checked everything and could not find anything wrong. Any ideas appreciated, as my next step is to trade for the new Ford F-150 if I can't get it resolved for a reasonable cost.
