Default Need Better MPG

Hey guys. New to the forums! So, I got a question already. I have a 3500 08' LTZ Duramax Diesel and I need to improve its performance and MPG. I would like to chip it but rumor has it that the chips are no good! Should I do the intake and exhaust? What can I DO? Thanks guys!

I'd recommend a Hypertech Eco chip. Just put one on my 2004 1500LS and it was worth it, i gained about 1.5-2mpg difference. Diesel shows more fuel increases with chips than gas.

I don't own a diesel, but from being around people who do, I would recommend Bully Dog chips and programers for mileage. Its also good to get the exhaust and intake as well because you will see a HUGH difference with it all working togather and your mileage will jump up noticeably as well as your power.

I know a guy that had the computer reprogrammed with all the emissions removed, intake exaust and went from about 9 mpg to about 20 with a 10 in lift and 37in toyo tires plus it added power down side warranty is out the window it would be your baby if anything happened

Best way to obtain the top MPG out of your truck is stock tires and no lift keep aerodynamics, intake exhaust will help a bit try adding a cetane booster and there are alot of econo chips out there just look around and take any excess way out of your truck you should see how much it helps
