Default Need Help With 4 Wheel Drive.......

Ok I'm sure this has been talked about a million times on here but I am new to the forums and haven't found what I was looking for yet. Here is my problem. I have a 91 K1500 and the 4 high isn't working. I have 4 low and the indicator light comes on but when I put it in 4 high it doesn't engage and the light doesn't come on. Can someone please help me with this.

Thanks
Chris

Could the actuator be getting weak? That was my first thought but it would probably go into hi easier if it was gonna be picky between the two..

well i would go by elmination... transfer case would be first.. does it work in 4wd low? put the truck in 4x4 low get under the truck and see if the driveshaft turns.. it shouldnt turn.. do the same with 4x4 high.. it souldnt turn if 4x4 is on..if it doesnt turn then from there i would check the actuator.. if it does turn then something is wrong with the linkage or transfer case..
