Default need help wiring a stereo

I've got a 90 k1500, it had the original radio and tape deck in 2 spots on the dash, i pulled the old hardware, including the CDI box and plugged in the new connector, I matched the constant on 12v wires together and the acc. 12 volt. Everything seems to be wired where it should be but the radio isnt turning on, all my fuses are good. anyone got any ideas whats wrong?

Do you have a wire tester? I had installed a new head unit in my mine and had everything hooked up but had no power so I tested all the wires and found out my constant power was burned out. I paid 5 bucks for the wire tester at auto zone.

It also could be ur ground. Make sure you have it grounded on a clean piece of metal. Sand down to the bare metal. Dont ground it on top of painted metal.

I figured it out, just had to throw a volt meter on it. Turns out i had one hot wire off the truck, not 2 like the mitchells diagram said. ran both power leads from the stereo to that and it works like a charm.
