Need info on leveling kits..

Shackles
I want to level my silverado but not sure how to do it. I saw shackles at AutoZone but not sure how to install them. Did you use shackles to lower yours?

Put some weight in the back, this should satisfy your obsessive compulsive need to be level and as a bonus give you some needed added traction on the rear tires.
I am currently looking to level off the front of my silverado 1500.
Does anybody know anything about this?
What is the difference in kits?
Ive seen some kits that are just the front and some that are the front 2.5" and the back 1"
What kind of info can you guys/gals give..
Thanks..

those rough country lifts install and are just good lifts. As far as the 4 to 6 inch lift goes u might as well go all out and get 6 inch cuz u gonna pay the same except for tires.

96 c1500 lift??
I've gotta 96 1500 2wd and i wanna get it up off the ground but dunno what size tires to get if i put a 4 inch suspension and 3 inch body lift...any opinions? Or opinions bout the lift? Im a welder not an everyday off-road enthusiast so im sorta stuck on this one lol

Dont do it
leveling kits will cause you all kinds of problems in the future and a lot of money. Keep it stock baby. Chevys are known for problems with the front end steering components. Getting a leveling kit will only speed up the problems.

Leveling kit
I just put new rims and tires on my 08 silverado. Now they rub. I bought a leveling kit that is supposed to be 3 on front and 2 on the back. The thickness of my front spacers are only 2 inches. They emailed me back and said the 2 inch spacers will raise my truck 3 inches....can someone explain how that is possible? Thanks
