I have a 1997 K1500 Z71 with a 350 V8 Vortec.

My truck has a very very crappy 4 inch suspension lift. I want to get at least a very high quality 4 inch, if not a 6 inch. I have been looking online for lifts, but I am not having much luck.

The exhaust is messed up entirely. I currently have true dual exhaust, dual cats and all. One cat is out, both mufflers have inch sized holes in them... and it just sounds and looks horrible. I am looking for an entirely new exhaust, header back.

AFA exhaust goes, get some hedmen, hooker, or edelbrock headers,
Flowmaster exhaust to your liking, maybe a 30 or 40 series.
Put on 3" exhaust pipes and call it a day.
You could go with flowtech headers, but inspect the welds
Around the collection plate, some of the machine welds
Leave a small gap where it starts and stops, a quick spot weld will
Fix it and the point recommending flowtech is their price, a lot less expensive.

 

I have a 4" RCD lift in my 04 2500... Not sure if they make one for your year. I love it.

 

Hey Mille Racer 69, after reading your post, I noticed you are from redding, I would like to take a look at your system and see how it sounds. I haven't seen your truck around town though, where do you hide?
