Default New here question about tuner?

I have a 2001 Silverado 1500 HD with the 6.0

Im getting about 13 mpg or so on highway, just wondering if anyone had any advise on what tuner to get that may improve my gas milage.

Im not really wanting to break the bank though. I've heard about Diablo Sport Predator.

Just wondering if you guys had any advise that might help.
Thanks.

well for starters its only 250$ where as programers are around 300-400 also its a custom tune and is more bang for your buck also people say they get an extra 2mpg and more power with the tune

I did a bunch of researching on the web and asking truck owners questions. Bottom line, the truck comes tuned for mileage and you're not going to do enough better with a tuner. Now, that doesn't mean you can't improve the mileage, it just means you will need to bolt on some more stuff like a cold air return and things and then get it retuned by somebody that knows what they are doing.
The simpliest thing to try is get rid of weight: ditch the spare, empty all the junk you carry around all the time and never use and put the lightest wheels and tires you can find on the rig.
