Hey all!
first time poster here so go easy please!

I have a 98 cheyenne 1500 4x4 with the 5.7L. I'm having a heck of a time trying to get the exact vehicle specifications, like trans type, gearing, differentials, axles, etc. Where is a good place to get all of this info? I'm looking to do some diagnostics on the motor, front diff, transfer case and possibly suspension mods but need a base line to work with..
The search function here didn't want to give me anything relevant. Google is just about as useless as can be too.

Probably should mention there were lots and lots of rigged up modifications done from the PO since they used it for hauling loads far heavier than the truck was designed for so I'm trying to figure out wtf they did to it as well.

 

all data and Mitchell on-demand5 information systems are very good and you can buy short term memberships. I haven't found any free information that's worthwhile.
