HI,I have a 1993 3500 SILVERADO THAT FOR SOME DOES NOT SHIFT INTO OD at freeway speeds,it will shift up thru the gears with no problems,but then will not go into OD any ideas would be appreciated,thanks.

 

Is second gear okay?

HI,It shifts first 3 gears with no problem just no OD,i went out the next day and checked trany fluid and all i got was foam on bottom of dip stick so it is probably 3qts low.
I did not see your reply but i have another post with more info forgot about this post sorry.

I just now realize that we're dealing with a 4L80E; I was thinking 4L60E all along.

Yeah, low oil level would sure do it.
