Default no park lights, weird clicking

I hit a deer in april, had to replace all the headlights, bumper, grille, fenders, since then i havent had parking lights, when i bought the truck it had halo projector headlights, bought new bulbs for parking lights, checked the fuses and everything, worked before i hit the deer.

And for the clicking whenever i start/turn off the truck, theres a weird clicking sound coming from where the computer is, doesnt happen everytime but does happen about 95% of the time. Any ideas?

Hi 1993silverado,

Welcome to the Chevy Forums.

I get the clicking in my 04, too. DNK what it is,

but I figure either the gooberment is spying on

me, or itty-bitty little space aliens have inhabited my

dash :O

Seriously, sounds to me like an old hard-drive cycling

a little out of alignment. My low tech solve is just turn

up the radio. CDs are costing me a fortune.

As to collision damage, my guess would be you either

cut a ground, or severed a power wire to the light

controls. You are aware there are two fuse terminals,

right?

yes, checked both fuse terminals, the clicking doesn't bother me too badly, the parking lights didn't either until lately when i seen how bad my front end looks at night without all 4 being lit up, ill have to check out the wiring later today, thank you.

1993silverado,

I am unable to provide you with any technical advice since I am not a technician. However, if you still can not solve your concern after trying therewolf's advice, you may want to have your GM dealership look into this. You can private message us your name, VIN, phone number, and GM dealership for assistance with this.

Oh i forgot to add that my turn signals go wild now since i hit the deer, but im fairly sure thats just because it had projectors before and no longer does and draws less power from the system making it think a bulb is fried, thanks for the help guys.

Seriously, work your way from the impact point on your car

to the direction of the nearest turn signal cluster. You

will probably turn up a crossed or grounded wire.
