I replaced the fuel line today where it was leaking and my boging down in parking lots and at stop signs continues!!! I have replaced everything!!!!!! there is only two things i havent replaced that i can think of 1)>is there two temp. sensors? The one that is on the side of the block that runs the gauge i already replaced. Is there another one that runs off the computer?2)> my evap canister is cracked can this cause this problem? is the purge valve in the evap canister? thanks guys for your help i know quite a bit about engines but this one is really stumping me!!!!

my 89 had a temp on the intake and the one on the side but thats about all i can tell you lol

on mine it was right next to the thermastate housing.. its right by the a/c on mine so the passenger side..its kinda small it screws right in to the intake manifold. it has a plastic clip on top of it sticks up about 2" and 1" around... the wire goes in to the main harness.. if you dont see it let me know.. maybe you could answer me some thing do i stick tranmission pluid in my transfer case or gear oil?? its the 89

autotrack makes transfer case fluid check at autozone or a parts store

I think he meant the temp sensor.
Mine is as he said, right next to the water neck at the front of the intake manifold. Did you ever check the TPS voltage. I think you had said you replaced it twice but I don't know if you have adjusted it.
Sorry if you didn't replace the TPS, it may have been someone else.

There are a couple different types of TPSs but they all mount with 2 screws and can rotate very slightly. There are 3 wires connecting to the TPS, I can't remember the colors but there is a ground, 12 volt and TPS output voltage. At an idle you want .65 volts and at full throttle 5. volts
