Not the timing
My name us Robert and I am having problems with my chevy Silverado1500 350 5.7 ltr. It cranks and runs and idles fine but I give it gas and it backfires and when I put it in gear it dies automatically. Several of my friends with knowledge of my engine have agreed it hasn't jumped time.
I have replaced plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotary button, replaced cam, and lifters. Now after checking several things from timing to fuel system, everyone thinks it may be some kind of transmission sensor issue, engine sensor or the torque converter. Please help! My truck has been down for over a month and I need her back!
