Default Oil leaks

2002 Z71 157,000 miles. Just told we have the oil pan, oil filter housing, rear engine plate and valley plate leaking. We leave a good bit of oil in the driveway. How much is this gonna cost to repair? Should it go to a dealer or a good repair shop? Thanks for any advice.

I would investigate first. Usually if it's leaking from the oil pan your gasket has gone bad. The pan shouldn't be leaking. unless there is a hole in it or something has damaged it. The gasket set for your truck is 50$ at a parts store. Oil filters are cheap between 3-10$ I would check to see if it's leaking around the gasket on that as well. Could just be a old filter or screwed on to tight or not enough.

Always check into it before taking it to the shop. Could be an easy fix.

It doesn't seem likely that all of these parts would develop leaks at the same time.

Most probably somewhere high up is leaking and you can see the oil on these various parts.

Clean every thing with a degreaser and see where the leaks starts showing up first.

Valve covers maybe? If they're leaking it could be going anywhere.
