Howdy!

I have been searching around the forms, learning new things about my new (well new to me) '99 Silverado and in advance thanks for all your help.

So on to the question!

I notice that the truck will have just above 40psi oil pressure at idle, and when i am driving (whether is on the freeway or on the street) when the engine is under load it shows 60psi.

Is this normal oil pressure for a truck that has 89,116 miles on it?

I may seem like a hypochondriac about my truck, but the way i see it: If i take care of my truck, it will take care of me

 

you have a high volume oil pump on it. mine is the same and it has 200,000+ miles on it!
