Default OnStar on 2011 Silverado Pickup

How do you disable OnStar on a 2011 Silverado Pickup? Any help would be appreciated.

There are some black boxes either under the passenger seat or on he back wall of the pickup. You unplug them. There is still a question of whether a GPS unit still tracks you. It's a very insidious system and has even been used by the FBI to listen in on people through the radio. ON STAR also has a bad reputation with law enforcement as being hard to communicate with to stop cars or get information.

When I bought mine, the dealer told me any time I wanted it disabled bring it back and he would do it free. I am beginning to see why disabling it would be a good idea. They annoy the crap out of me calling me trying to sell me worthless services that they try to convince me I just can not do without. Hopefully I have enough sense to look at my oil change percentage and do not need an e-mail to tell me I need my oil changed.
