Default over cranking a possibility?

I recently put torsion bar keys on my truck to level it out but i've been hearing that i need to watch how much i crank it. I want to get an add a leaf to raise the rear but I want to know if its possible to over crank them with the keys in there or is that just for people who don't have the keys

If you crank the keys too much you will have the upper A arms hitting the bottom bump stops, makes for a stiff ride and an annoying noise every time the hit the stops.
