she's running on all 8, i got rid of the cat and she's running better than before, wasn't plugged, just a big hole through the honeycombs

 

Hey Chevy I got a 99 z71 4x4 and my oil does the same thing if I gun it it will reach 80

 

my oil pressure is still running high and i don't know why. I'm about 500 miles from an oil change and the truck is burning a little bit but don't know why pressure is higher than normal. i got nothing for you Doug, sorry

 

RacerX. That is exactly what I thought. But in addition to the things upgraded in my first post, i had done plugs, wires, cap, roter. When I started the engine within a few seconds the smell of raw gas was very powerfull. The only thing the dealer replaced was the egr. Again I believed as you did until nothing that made sence to change out worked. I believe the egr was sending the wrong signel to the computer and the computer was just flat out dumping fuel.

 

my EGR is stuck closed so while driving i get a little pre ignition but not too worried about it right now.
