I'm currently fighting this code. The cap is good, now what? Is this something that I can tackle or does it need to see a tech? Thanks everyone.

 

theres soem sort of solenoid that can be changed. i haven't researched it to much. I have the same code that keeps popping up.

 

I had this code on my 1997 FRD f150 and it turned out to be a crack in the fuel filler - the hose from the cap to the tank. I did have a slight smell of gas every once in a while, but I never would have thought about that. Simple fix and the code went away.
