Default Performance Chip

i have a 2007 Chevy 1500 Z71 4x4. i want to get more power out of it. i dont no what kind of performance chip will do it. i want to get between 30-40 more hourspower and a little bit better mpg. What is a good performance chip?

no "performance chip" or handheld programmer will do that for you. go to blackbearperformance.com or gowheatley.com and start askin questions. they do custom tunin and do a heck of a job

the new edge cs is saying the is will put 40 more hp into my truck. is that true?

lol no not at all. handhelds won't do a dang thing for 99 and up silverados. deisels are a different story but just a gas truck, a custom tune is what you want

well do you plan on doin other mods to your truck? like intake, headers, exhaust?

I disagree, I have a 2004 Silverado 2500HD and I have a diablo sport U7193 handheld tuner and it really helped my truck in both low, and mid and really really helped from 3500-6000 rpm's. I also gained about 1-2 MPG

lol I've had 4 different programmers. diablosport, bullydog, superchips, and hypertech. got em all from friends so I could use them on a dyno to see what kinda gains were givin. none of them gave any gains, just changed the timin and shift points. other than that? absolutely nothin out of em, once I got the tune I've got now I went back to my buddies dyno and saw 25+ HP 30+ tq. now all my friends have custom tunes and ditched the handhelds
