Default Pillar Wind noise at 70 + mph

So I have a problem. I have serious wind noise on my truck when im driving on the highway. It sounds like the pillars, sounds like something is loose and clicking. I cant find anything loose. The only thing that is on the truck that is after market is the bug deflector. Anyone have this happen to them???

I have the same problem. I have found in the past that it was the bug shield that was causing the problem. I had to return the bug shield and try another style.

Yeah thats what I thought. Thats crazy hua??? I dont know why it would do that. Let me know what kind you get and if it works. I want to keep it on because here in New England we have the worst roads and debris flying all over the place. Its hard to keep nice things here.....

It seems that anything that wraps around the fender may cause the noise. I believe that it is actually disturbing the air that then makes wind noise as it passes the mirror. I havent replaced the one on my truck yet, but the one on my suburban that only covers the hood doesn't make the noise.

Got ya. I didn't think of the mirrors. Ill try closing them while driving to see if a difference is made. If i cant get one that is lower profile ill just turn up the tunes haha

I have the same problem with an 07 silverado. It started after I installed the bug deflector.
