Default pinion bearing preload NEED HELP

95 chevy pickup. I had to replace rear diff seal and removed my pinion flange without marking where the nut was. How do I find out how to set it right? Please help.

Well since you already removed it to replace the seal......

Just torque the nut back on to around 95 ft lbs.It will be close enough to get you down the road since you are not crushing a new sleeve.

You really have no other choice. It will probably be just fine.

If it starts to whine a bit,Torque it another 10 ft lbs.
