Question Placement of PCM

2004 Silverado K1500 ext. cab I can't find the PCM / ECU Does someone have an answer?

The '91 S15 I had was located behind the glove box. but I don't where it is in my Silverado.

Open your hood and look at the battery, Now look at the bottom left side of the battery and you will see a black plastic box mounted just below the battery. The PCM / Powertran control module is in that box.

That is it? thought they would have it in the cabin, not somewhere it can get exposed to the elements.
