Police Package Silverado
I recently read an article that said GM is going to offer a "police package" for the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado truck. Power is provided by the 5.3L V8 engine and the truck has upgraded drivetrain & electrical systems to handle the rigors of patrol duty.
The Silverado law enforcement models will not be 'pursuit-rated' like the Tahoe, but should still be a great vehicle for units/officers that may need more cargo capacity or have to regularly drive on rugged terrain.
It's going to be interesting to see some photos. Dodge and Ford already have special packages suitable for police use, so why not GM as well?
