Hello everyone,

I am looking to maybe purchase another Chevrolet, upgrade from that Nissan 4x4... Please let me know your estimated value of this truck.

Overall Condition
7.5/10
Year
2005
Make
Chevrolet
Model
Silverado 2500HD
Sub Model LS, LB, Z71
Color White
Mileage 206,000

Engine
6.0L V8
Transmission Automatic
Mileage 206,000

Features
Air Conditioning, Power Options, Cloth Interior, Bed Liner, and other standard features.

The local is asking for $7,500 for the truck while the BlueBook is around $16,000. Is this a good deal? If you respond please post your knowledge on this issue as I may use this as "evidence" for a lower price if needed.

Sadly, it is true! See for yourself.

But what matters is if $7,500 is a good deal or not.

Could I please get a response? I am looking to possibly purchase this vehicle on Monday the 17th or shortly after. Is it worth $7,500 with the above specifications.

the acutal value depends on the area. personally, $7500 for 206k miles seems a bit high. we're talkin 40k miles a year on average. that's high. i would check local dealers, local craigslist, autotrader. this will give you an idea of what the market in your area says.

alot depends on what area it is in. some cars and truck are just worth more or less. miles are very high. it is hard to put a price on somthing I have not seen or driving. like maxx said check in your local area to compare. As I have herd before somthing is worth what some one is willing to pay.

Thanks for everyone's opinion here, much appreciated it. As far as local comparison...nothing. The problem is that nobody has a 05 Silverado with that high of mileage, its to new. Based on perfect condition except for a small dent or two in the truck bed, what is the value? Guessing of course. $7,500 sounds high to me...I was thinking of more around $6,000.

I bought my 05 Silverdo 4x4 1500 v8 4.8l 140k miles 4 weeks ago for $6k. Automatic, radio-no cd player & manual windows. Decent tread on tires. KBB had $11k.

Thanks for your response, that gives me a great ballpark to go back and bargain with. Kelly Blue Book is never accurate really, it says the truck is worth $16,000....

Think I may counter offer with $6,750, after all it is the 2500HD with new transfer case.

With that kind of mileage - it was most likely on the highway most of its life. If so - then 200K miles is not as bad as 100K of stop and go in traffic.

Is this a regular cab?
