Default programing truck for the wrong tires.

i am sure that this has ben asked but i don't see it in a search. i just got this truck. 2002 k2500 ext cab with the 8.1/Allison. the guy just put new tires on it 800 miles ago. he put on 285 75 16. it came with 245 75 16 when it was new. i called 2 dealers and they said that it can not be programed to any other size. i would like to make the speedo right but what do i do? if i could get enough out of these tires i would just go with stock tires but i don't think i will get much out of them. they have close to 1000 miles on them now. i got the receipt with the truck and he paid $800 for the tires alone. the tires are bridgestone revo2. what are my options? can the truck be programed, or what do you think i can get for the tires?

The speedo can not be off enough to worry about it.

Check out this link to a Diablo Tuner, I don't know if it will work for you and I am not endorsing the product, but with a quick search I found this hit.
