Smile Purge Valve Solenoid??

Howdy,

I just bought a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 4x4. And today my engine light came on, so when i got the code read the guy said i need a new "purge valve solenoid" so i bought the part, and now i'm wondering where the hell it is, and how do i replace it? I used to have a mustang, and i'm not too familiar with trucks. I'd appreciate any help/instructions i can get for finding and replacing it. Steps are appreciated! Thanks

If you take the engine cover off (8mm bolt) it's right on top of the intake. It will have a hard platic line running to it, and a red electrical connector. I believe it's held in place with a 10mm bolt, and the o-ring on it will require you to pull up on it to release it from the intake.

Hope that helps
