Default Questions about my 2007 Chevy 1500 LT

Bought a 2007 Chevy 1500 LT Extended Cab and I wanna do a few mods. Nothing really big. Wanna get some flowmasters put on, do something with the air intake and maybe a programmer. Has anyone made their own air intake? What size filter did you use and size of tubes? How about a programmer? Im wanting to increase my fuel mileage mainly. Right now the truck is stock and Im at 15.9 mpg driving it really easy...stop and go traffic unless I hittem green. Any other options I can look into?
Thanks in advance!

They have designed these engines pretty well, try bosch fusion or platinum+4 sparkplugs and a K&N air filter, research a programmer with a big/full lcd screen and what you want to do IE: shift firmness fuel economy performance
like bulldog or preditor programers
for the fun

the k&n filter will help a little but and so will the exhaust but the programmer won't help as much as advertised...a tune will be much better performance and mileage wise

flowmaster sound good but they dont flow so well better flow=better performce im haveing a hard time with my exhaust setup but i plan to redo everything
headers are a good upgrade
im not a fan of "other spark plugs" most of them have to be changed every 10k miles but u will get a better spark from them delcos work best for the long run imo
as far as air intake spectre makes parts for do it yourselfers they also sell complete kits just like all the other big guys and work the same for alot less
for instance im getting a cia from them for only 118$ brand new not bad compaired to 300 for a k&n or others
programers dont even waist your money on those
hope this helps
