Default Rattling Noise

So some background on the issue, its on my 06 2500hd and I only hear it when going over slight bumps, sounds like its possibly coming from the front wheel, not sure though. I did some searching on here, and not sure if it helped alot. The best solution I read about was the sway bar bushings or shocks....I tried to search for the sound but I can't reproduce it for the life of me. My buddy has a 2000 1500 and his makes the same noises, and its mainly over slight bumps, but we couldn't figure it out on his either...any thoughts?

It could be the intermediate steering shaft, here is a link to another silverado forwm that talks all about it. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=265506
I think a lot of silverados have this issue. Usually feel it going real slow.

I had a very similar rattling noise that only took place during slow speeds, usually within a parking lot. Because I went offroad a lot I often heard it while rolling up along friends which made it embarrassing. I located the issue which happened to be the clamps on the leaf springs came slightly bent (widened). I took a c-clamp to it and bent them back in to alignment, yet not too tight.

The only way I was able to locate the noise was to walk along side of the truck while slowly moving over minor bumps. I think put it up on jacks and started poking around further.
