you would probably have to change out the brake proportioning valve. ujoints might be different as well as the width of spring perches.

Your 2000, is it the old body style like a 95, or is it like a 03. 2000 was sort of a cross over year, and I'm not 100% on which body style you have.

its new body style.will the drive shaft hook to an older one i dont care about havin drum brakes and can handle switchin it over..

ya i think me and a buddy are gonna tackle it..it really cheapest way out. i found a set online for 140 and a guy on craigslist for 50 bucks brand new.. but i need to figure out id it will work...

i would strongly recommend having someone who knows how to do it. the gears have to be shimmed just right or you will blow the new gears out real soon. there are specs that absolutely have to be figured out and dialed in for each gear set. you can't just throw them in and go.
