I had a 2012 Silverado which had remote start. When I traded it in I kept the remote start key fobs. I purchased a 2013 Silverado that has the remote start package but didn't have the key fobs. I would like to have the 2012 key fobs programmed to the 2013. Can this be done? The dealership wants to sale me new fobs for nearly $300 which includes "installation". Can I buy just the "code" for this without buying new fobs? Thanks for any help that can be provided.

 

Should work...search youtube for video on reprogramming the FOB and see if it does.
