I have a 94 silverado. When I turn the key on the service engine soon light will not come on. I`m almost 100% sure its pulling codes but I cant check them because of this. Besides removing the bulb are there any other ways someone could disable it that i need to check?

 

Those bulbs do burn out. Try a new bulb FIRST

 

um not really, i have a 97 and i got tired of looking at lights that wont go off like the engine light, ABS light, seat belt, so i just removed those light bulbs, what you got against just pulling them out?

 

if its a sock truck then yeah its most likely that the bulbs are burnt out or removed, i know if you go to a tuner you can have him delete codes so they wouldnt pop up, you can still go to autozone and have them run a diagnostics test, because even though i have my bulbs out i was curious what codes are tripped so i went to autozone, well i ended up having 8 codes lol
