royal purple motor oil
Yesterday I noticed that my local autozone started carying Royal Purple Synthetic motor oil. So if you use this stuff you see if yours carries it too. just thought I point it out since its seen like it is hard to find locally in some places

yep, that's why my wife's lexus does 15 000 miles on amsoil without even darkening it, and my truck does same. beat that with mobil1. now, credit to mobil1 on oil filter, though. best you can buy in the country, that is true.
oh, i used to do royal purple, easy did 10 000 miles between oil changes. but found amsoil to do better. i still buy RP for "add-ons" when level drops some, and use RP atf on my silvie. trannie just loves it.
now, back in 2002, i did 54 000 miles one year on my CR-V. out of stupid "3000 miles" habit, i had to do oil changes every 4 weeks at that speed. i went through every single oil on the market, including mobil1. nothing, nothing was then even close to RP in quality and durability. but i definitely like new amsoil oils better. oil change once a year.
