Let us know how it goes, Suzuki-guy; I'll be trying this the next time I change my oil. I've tried using RESTORE, but this sounds like a better way to clean out the inside of your motor. Does anyone have any opinions on Restore?

 

Im wondering if Gm Topend cleaner works too

 

MDTAHOE mentioned something like that , GM has an oil additive that cleans your insides too that is far superior to whats available at auto stores or was that a lubricant?. Seafoam will do the job too, I use it in the gas & intake.

 

So then the best way to use Seafoam would essentially be all 3 ways, to keep things as clean and well-running as possible?

I've also heard to change the plugs after the seafoam treatment. I've heard the crud will get on the plugs on the way out.

 

Whay cant they just be cleaned if that is true?

 

Ah, good news for me then. I just bought a set of E3.62 plugs for my truck, and I'll be doing this seafoam treatment in my intake tomorrow before i change my plugs. Good deal =]

It shouldn't be an issue with the seafoam in the gas tank though, right? It should be a lot more diluted and I'm assuming it wouldn't damage the plugs.

 

yes but you should use Acdelco plugs in your truck

 

Its made for gas treatment too, your ok there.

Thats the first I have ever herd of it damaging plugs, I could see them getting dirty if your engine is that bad, but they can be cleaned, you dont have to replace them
