Alrighty; so there's a problem. I couldn't figure out which vacuum line(s) I should be messing with, so I didn't mess with any of them. If someone would be willing to update the current walk-through with pictures of a pickup motor instead, I'd appreciate it greatly. I'm not extremely knowledgeable when it comes to doing stuff along these lines.

 

Lines for the PCV valve? For the Seafoam induction into your TBI?

If this is what you mean it is the only vaccum line runing into your Valvecover. Take it out of the valve cover and suck 1/3 can into it slowly(I poured 1/3 can in a glass)If it starts to die stop! Do this untill it is almost all gone then dont stop let it die. Then wait five minutes and start it up it might start hard but keep trying. Itll smoke a lot so assure proper ventilation. Hold it to 2500 RPMs untill it is done smoking then you are all set. Most of these are directions from the back of the can.

 

If your engine looks at all like this , here is the PCV line, I have the manifold cover removed. It has a foamy cover on it that actually hides the PCV valve directly on the valve cover. Pic attached.

I didnt catch which motor you have

 

I have the 7.4L motor, so that picture doesn't help as much as I'd like it to, lmao. I think I may try this again tomorrow morning before I change my plugs. I know it'd be better to do it before I change my plugs, but would it be okay to do it afterward?

 

It wont damage anything, if it does dirty them, but I dont think it will, pull one out after the treatment and see, if so , clean them with carb cleaner and a tooth brush.

 

I'll just wake up early tomorrow morning and do it before I do my plugs. I'll get a video for you guys if you're interested=]

I looked up some seafoam videos on youtube, and apparently I just didn't look hard enough; oh well; tomorrow is a new day!

 

If you have the time , a video would be cool. Dont be surprised if it diesels after you shut it off with the seafoam in it, thats normal.

 

What do you mean by 'diesels'?

I just went outside to try to find my damn PCV valve again, with no luck. I'll do some more research tonight and if I still havent located it I will have the guy at Advance Auto Parts find it.

 

Diesels means it sputters and then turns off. And if you read the directions you should'nt have to turn it off the seafoam should kill the motor! Do you have a Haynes?
