Default Searched: 96 HEATER problem

I have a 96 ext cab 1500. I am having the a heater problem. None of the lights work in the control unit and the only **** that works is the fan speed ****. Cannot control the hot/cold switch or the vent selector.

Checked all the fuses and tried a new unit and none of these have worked is there a relay somewhere that could have shorted?

I have replaced the thermostat and the heater core. Checked the plugs and cleaned the contacts. I dont get why the backlighting wont work or the lights for the A/C or Recirc. button.

Truck runs at normal temp a little under straight up on the gauge, and have full clean coolant.

help its cold!
