Just bought 1999 z71, service engine light soon is on. Took to AutoZone to have tested, they said there is no power going to the plug where there hand held plugs into. They said usually it's a fuse controlling the cigarette lighter I cannot find the fuse though. also I have 3 cigarette lighters in a row the first to work but the far right does not has anybody else dealt with this?

 

You need to find the fuse that controls that 3rd cigarette lighter. If you are not sure check them all.

 

Is there only one fuse box in the cab

 

There is one under the hood and one in the cab.

 

Checked all the fuses there good, any idea what else it could be top cause it not to have power?

 

Loose ground wire or just a bad socket?
