The other problem can be, that one or both of the DRL light bulb connector's can be burnt.

I am trying to decide whether or not to add a relay, to reduce the current, this should save this are from so much overload.

Has anyone else added a relay to the DRL lights to reduce the high amp draw down to a much lower draw?

Trying to decide whether it is high draw or heat from the lamp itself that is melting the lamp connector

Might want to verify that the correct lamp bulb is installed if the socket is melting... Sylvania has a nice guild for seeing what bulbs are needed... -->

I say pull the bulbs and forget about the dtrl's cause IMO they are a useless waste and look dumb but I'm as you say "old" school on that

Default Drl

Guys I got a 2017 Chevy Silverado 3500hd, just installed new HIDs and I'd REALLY like to shut OFF the DRL so I won't end up burning the bulbs driving around in the Mornin with them on. My old model Denali I had was a 2014 I jus pulled the fuse and I was good. But can't seem to find the fuse on this one

Default Both inner running lights out

I just bought a 2005 Silverado to use as a work truck. All bulbs work except for the two and are running lights on the bottom set. I put two new bulbs in and still nothing. One of the sockets looks kind of burnt orangey on the inside. Can I just change out the sockets for both of those? Or since they’re both not working is there something more than changing the sockets? They both look kind of burnt.
