I put a S&B CAI and noticed a increase in power and about +1MPG. I would highlysuggest checking them out.

check this out, http://www.sbfilters.com/product_display.php?id=122, its not for the 2006 2500HD but it is for the 2006 2500 with the 6.0, you may want to call them and ask if it will fit, im assuming that with the year, model, and size motor it shouldnt make a difference if you have the HD or not, its bolting up to the same 6.0L motor.

Careful, K&N air filers let more debris in the enigine. K&N=98.65% efficient, S&B=99.39% efficient. Numbers don't lie.

i have been using k&N filters for 10 years, my friends have been using them for 10 years or more. never had anything fail due to the filter. each company is out there to promote their product. its all personal preference.

Like you said, "its all personal preference". I also have a K&N filter on an old ford, but I choose the S&B for my chevybecause the filtration was better and the air box that came with the kit, where as theK&N CAI only had a makeshift filter "sheild" that did not seal off thefilter from the rest of the engine compartment.
