I just bought this pickup and was wondering how do I fold down the front middle seat?

I think that it is the stock seat. It is not a console/seat. When I first looked over the truck the seat was folded down but when I picked it up someone had put it back up. Now I cant figure out how to fold it back down.

It should just pivot up and down. Just make sure that the console is closed before you put it back up again

 

Thats the thing, neither does it pivot nor is it a console. It seems to be a plain stock seat. But when I was looking at this truck at the dealer the seat was pivoted down so there must be a way of unlocking it to pivot it down. Maybe a lever or button which I can not find. I know Im not going crazy.

where I used to work I had an 01 with that same type of seat and it did NOT fold unless I took it apart and phsyically took the bolts out holding the back up and then reinsert the bolts. Only problem with that was I had to remove the driver and passenger seat to do it.

 

Thanks for the help. At this point I would like to go with the original console. Does anyone know where to order one besides my local dealer?

Either you are remembering a different truck or someone pulled the ole switcharoo on you. You must have a work truck center seat in there now.

 

I am asking a new question. I took it apart and it can not fold down so nevermind the original issue. Thank you all for helping out.


At this point I would like to replacethe middle seat with the original console that Chevy provides. Does anyone know where I can go online to order one?
