Default Speedometer Problems

I have a '92 K1500 with aprox. 230,000miles the truck is in good condition except the speedometer doesnt work it hasnt for about 2yrs it has a manual trans I have already replaced the VSS on the tail of the trans with no effect I also tried changing out the gauge cluster with one from an identical truck also with no effect. I think there might be some kind of module between the sensor and the gauge. Please help thanks.

You are correct. There is a calibation unit behind the glovebox, it maybe burned up, here this may help:

GM DRAC/VSSB Calibration
Ok I have a 92 C3500 , 454 , 5speed 2wd . When I bought the truck the speedometer wasn't working , I assumed it was cable operated and no problem . So far .. I have replaced the VSS ( in transmission ) the DRAC , and the gauge cluster. I do get a VSS code when I drive it , and the brake light is dimly light . If I press parking brake it gets brighter , and I'm full of brake fluid . Other then throwing in a ECM , am I missing anything ? Thanks
