Squeaking Noise From Undercarriage..Some Vibration
I have a 2002 Ext Cab 4.8L 2wd Silverado...I just started to hear a squeaking noise coming from the undercarriage as i take off and a lil vibration also...Some one told me it may be the u-joints but i never felt any clunking noise as i read would be evident...So i decided to get a friend to stand on the side of my truck as i drove along slowly and he was able to point me in a more specified direction...I have a split drive shaft with a carrier or hanger bearing in the middle...when i got underneath my truck i took a closer look at it and it looked as if the rubber bushing around it was worn and i was able to move my drive shaft all around...i'm not sure how much play if any there is suppose to be but to me it doesn't seem like it should be moving around that much...Is this what could be causing the squeaking and vibration and if so has anyone changed the carrier bearing themselves...Any information would be helpfull...Thanks
