New guy here with a 09 half ton silverado 4X4. I did a search and cannot find much on the stabilitrac except how to hold in the button 5 seconds to cut it off. Is there a way to totaly disable it that anybody has found? I don't mind cutting off the traction control when I need a little wheel spin, but the babysitter that kills the power when I go to countersteer is driving me nuts.

 

If I hold the button in for 5 or 6 seconds the first thing I see is traction control off and then stabilitrac off. If I tap the button again it should cut on just the traction control for straight line, or does that cut everything on again even though it says traction control on?
