I have a 1998 K1500 5.7 and it is having issues starting. I can spray starting fluid into the intake and it will crank and run until I shut it off again. then I will have to repeat the same procedure with the starting fluid to get it to crank. Is this issue related to a bad fuel pump? I can hear the pump prime but it is rather quiet. I replaced this pump 2 years ago also.

 

Sure sounds like a fuel pump problem. You need to check the pressure.
